Coming to Vegas soon and pricing out transportation from Red Rock Casino back to our hotel on the strip. It's about 18 miles. Would that be a pricey cab ride? Would they take us tourists for a long haul? A limo is about $70 plus tip....if a cab would be a similar price, I might as well go with a limo.

Just get a town car from Bell Limo. Works fine and $45 an hour. Watch for surcharges based on the start area. Give them a call.

We live in the NW and use Bell or a neighbor.

cabfarefinder.com is your friend. Looks like $55 to mid-strip, $50 to Stratosphere, and $65 to Mandalay Bay (you didn't specify where on the Strip)

The easy trick is mileage times $3.00. That covers meter start and waiting time.

If you don't want to get long-hauled, ask the doorman for an American cab driver. Good luck, not many of us left.

Red Rock does have a bus if you really want to get cheap.

Limo's will charge you a 2 hour minimum.

Or wait for Uber to come back in business.

Take the casino bus from Red Rock, or a city bus up Charleston. It is inexpensive, not cheap. You don't have to line a cab's pocket to get around. More reliable, too.

The Sahara Express bus (24 HR) has a stop at the Red Rock Resort. It will go all the way to the Strip via Sahara Ave. The stop on the Strip is at SLS on Las Vegas boulevard, you can just transfer/connect on any of the bus on the Strip which also has 24 service.

The bus stop at Red Rock Resort is on the side of the building near the Front Desk entrance.
