Not open heart. Will be eligible for Medicare soon and I'm starting to review options. I had an occasion to go to the ER at DS for removal of a hearing aid part (I'm old). It took them less then 1 minute and had I had insurance they would have billed the insurance company ........................... wait for it.............................$1,810.00.
As it is they are charging me $724.00. I see a battle in my future.

Lol...it's amazing how insurance hikes prices! My Uncle was in the hospital for 3 days OBSERVATION....no "procedures"....they billed insurance $101,000.00.....insurance "wrote off" $96,000.00....and then paid a percentage of the remaining balance.

Insurance is why medical costs are so freaking high.
