We know. You are "eccentric" - which adds to your charm.

Dear Macgeek, what kind of car do you drive?
I will make sure I don't get that car when I am ready to buy a new car.

Last night when I was delivering pizza at the villas at Wynn a couple approached my Domino's vehicle and I had to tell them, sorry I,m not a taxi. Twenty feet later it happened again and the people were pissed that I wouldn't take them to the monorail station.

That is what I would do.

Sharing a ride in my Domino's vehicle would not be beneficial to me. I actually am a slumlord with rental properties in Sunrise Manor. I don't need money from ride sharing and could care less if people make it to the monorail.

But, but, Travis Kalenick the CEO of uber is a sharing kind of guy. Before uber he sold pirated music and movies under the guise of file sharing.

You are not allowed to carry passengers in your car whilst on Domino's time clock. So, you're right, it's not beneficial.

I worked at Domino's for 8 years. At my peak, I was making 40k a year, working 20 hours a week.

And, if we're talking about Uber, it isn't about "sharing" rides. It's a dispatch system for professional livery drivers.

I don't see the relevence.

I don't have a smart phone. I don't need one. But if I had one, I'd sign up to be an Uber driver in an instant. I'd hope to catch a fare on the way in to work or on the way back. If I did, great! If not, nothing lost -- I have to commute anyway.

Uber is the very definition of Win-Win. The driver gets a few bucks. The passengers get where they want to go. It is nothing more than hitchhiking with a paper trail. That's why society has latched onto it at a fundamental level -- it makes sense.

We're going to see a lot more of this. Companies selling empty seats on their company jets*, neighborhood garden-tool communism and similar. Food co-ops are already going nuts. They have always been with us, but they became totally mainstream in the last five years.

* It amounts to unused bandwidth. We're going to fix this simply because it's inefficient.
