So, Restaurant Week starts today. Anyone have any specific plans for menus that you want to try out? I asked at The M the other day if any of their restaurants were participating and I just got a perplexed look that said "What the hell are you talking about?".

Right now, it looks like the only day I might get to check anything out will be the last day, the 26th. I was thinking of checking out Wolfgang Puck's place out in Summerlin. Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill Summerlin - Las Vegas Restaurant Week | by Three Square Food Bank I have not eaten at one of his places before.

This is without a doubt the best Restaurant Week ever. I have never seen so many lunch offerings -- and some of them are fantastic values. (A few aren't all that great a value. But kudos for participating in any event.) In previous weeks, we've only been able to go to two places for dinner because of my competing work schedule.

I just went through every menu. We've decided to visit two places for dinner and four for lunch. If someone wants to game the menu at Pizza Rock, for instance, it's the equivalent of 25% off. There are a few restaurants that must be crushing it this year, because the Restaurant Week menu is more than 50% off the a'la carte price.



In other news: Apparently escargot is back, big time.

Seriously this is one dish the French screwed up. Asians do it better, I love it when my family cook snails with onions, garlic and ginger in coconut cream. Delicious!! Love seafood like shrimp and snails with onions, garlic, ginger and coconut cream!
