What are some of the nicer neighborhoods of Vegas/Henderson? What is the average rent for a two bedroom apt?

Just avoid North Las Vegas and you'll be fine.

Avoid North Las Vegas, any neighborhoods bordering the Strip. Best neighborhoods are Henderson in general and Summerlin.

Don't think the posters who made a blanket statement about North Las Vegas have any clue since there are pockets of nice areas everywhere

Take a look at hotpads.com and see what you can afford and take a drive

Exactly right. It's rather dumb to say "Henderson or Summerlin". Really? They'd rather live on Water and Basic in downtown Henderson than in the Aliante area? I certainly wouldn't. There are nice parts of Henderson, there are nice parts of Las Vegas, and there are nice parts of North Las Vegas. There are also crappy parts of each.

Pah. Henderson rules and North Las Vegas drools.

That is SO much easier than taking the time to learn anything.
