9 local breweries to choose from. I think this is a great idea:

I was just planning one of these with my friend (having on of our wives drive). I hadn't realized there was a service that does it. Thanks for the link!

Not bad.

If you're not into tours, Yard House at The LINQ has a good selection of local beers.

I like Triple 7 at Main Street Station, too!

Barley's brews their own on site as well. They rent kegs of any of their 5 brews - $35 for a 5 gal. and $55 for a 15 gal.

The place we moved from had a bring your own growler special. It could be any growler from any place with any kind of labeling or marks on it, and you could use it at all the beer places. Each beer place had their own prices for each different beer but the rate was between $15 - $30 to fill a growler. This growler special made it seem like a community of breweries and the bring your own growler was a popular special, but it was a college town.

That is growing in popularity in Phoenix! You see it at brewpubs and some convenience stores, even.

Yeah, I've got to pace myself with that stuff. I'm used to the 3.2% Utah beer.

I like that Sin City Brew Tours offers a custom tour of 3 breweries out of the 9 listed. It seems like the breweries are spread out around town. I think that a guided tour that lasts 4 hours helps since they provide the transportation, snacks and beer tasting for $95.

The list on the article looks like only 8 breweries. I sorted it out and linked to each of the 9 brewery pages if anyone wants to get an idea about them and customize their tour to the three they want to go to. Some of the webpages are better than others but don't use that to judge the quality of the beer. I found it interesting that most of the beer websites have you confirm that you're 21 before exploring their page. I think some of my friends and family would like going on the Sin City Brew Tour when they come to visit me in town.

Bad Beat Brewing
Banger Brewing
Big Dog’s Brewing
Boulder Dam Brewing Company
Chicago Brewing Company
CraftHaus Brewing
Hop Nuts Brewing
Joseph James Brewing Company
Tenaya Creek Brewery
