Did you just crawl out from underneath a rock? They've been making noises about a streaming-only service for some time now. It's called "HBO Now" (as compared to "HBO Go" which is the service available to TV subscribers).

There is also HBO available as an $15/month add-on to Sling TV, which currently supports more devices than HBO Now.

If something's good on and catches on to become a must see, it will eventually make it onto a dvd season set, where you can ff past the opening credits, and watch each episode back to back sans commercial interruptions. I just watched the first 3 episodes of True Detective, and have the next 3 coming tomorrow... net flix dvd baby!
