I would like to see a casino that gives you a real chance to win, that actually has hand pays, a place where you can get breakfast or lunch for under $10.00 bucks and dinner for under $15.00, and good shows for under $40.00. With a hotel that doesn't charge resort fees. Good drinks that don't cost an arm and a leg. And a place that offers decent comps.
That cant happen.. the costs to build and run a place are very high. We are still a bargain to most tourist cities

you would need to build a not-for-profit casino for all that to happen.... and even then it wouldn't work, because there are a bunch of casinos losing money and their deals aren't even that good

the gold coast and the orleans are the only casinos i can think of that are close to the strip and offer decent deals

Because that's the most profitable market. Gaming itself isn't the draw it used to be. But the resort/club experience is, and then they have the casino available if they want to play. So every department has to be profitable. They days are gone when a strip casino would have the food and entertainment as loss leaders to get people on the gaming floor, and they're not coming back.

And there are plenty of casinos that cater to locals in the Valley. They just don't put them on premium priced Strip real estate.

The place would go broke or at best earn little profit. The casinos know people will overpay so they cater to the 'wealthy and beautiful people' demographic.

There is a hotel and casino being built West of Allure, it's only going to be 9 stories tall. So some of the lower floors could loose their mountain views.
