M Resort is the best off strip buffet in price, value, and quality.

Rio buffet has gone way way done hill. Not impressed with the Wynn buffet either. I still like Planet Hollywood's buffet. For an old Vegas experience go to the Peppermill restaurant just south of the old Riviera Hotel. It has good food with big portions and you're on the strip but then you are not.

There is a steakhouse in Harraghs....(can't remember the exact name, but it's the only one there) that's very, very good.

If you go to a buffet, you'll get mass produced food in a warming tray. I don't care how much you pay for it, you'll never get your money's worth, except in quantity, if you can eat for 3 hours straight. The quality...you'll NEVER get your money's worth!
Disagree, that would depend on one's appetite and there are still good buffets out there. Warming tray or not some of the buffets are fantastic. Nothing can beat the variety you find on buffets. You still get a fairly good deal given what you pay at a good restaurant on the strip now days.

I did the Wicked Spoon recently---really good. I had a 2 for 1 coupon though, which made it about $28 a person. They hand the coupons out on United flights. I'll be returning in the future.

The Bacchanal buffet is worth every penny imho.

Golden Nugget had a problem with multi-generational roach infestation in their kitchen a few years ago. SNHD closed their 24hr cafe and a few other dining establishments. 24 hr cafe has since been remodeled and turned into Claim Jumper. I personally will not eat at any of the restaurants in the Golden Nugget.

When in Vegas I always make a stop at Bobby's Burger Palace next to the Monte Carlo, great gourmet burgers/fries but expect to pay $20/person. I wouldn't go near a buffet. I also like Diablo's Cantina at Monte Carlo, and Sage at the Aria.

I was married to a pest control guy. You would be surprised at how many restaurants have roaches, and you would never know it. Because a place had them a few years ago is no reason to not eat there, IMO.

I was just there a couple of weeks ago.
