11 Walmart stores in Las Vegas getting new hours - Story | LASVEGASNOW

On the west side (west of Rainbow or US95), I think that just leaves the one at Arroyo Crossing and the one on Tropical Pkwy open 24/7.

The other locations were either already operating 6AM-12AM (W Cheyenne, N Rainbow), or will now (S Ft Apache, S Rainbow).

That's a shame. You meet the most interesting people at WalMart at 2AM.

Good. Maybe now employees will be able to stock the shelves. I've gone from being "Daddy Walmart" to only going when I absolutely have to because Walmart is always out of something on my shopping list. Now the employees can concentrate on stocking the shelves instead of following shoplifters.

Good point. I'm betting they'll still do extended holiday hours, though.

Arroyo Market Square is a very busy commercial center so I'm not surprised that Walmart is staying open 24/7 at that location in Spring Valley. On the other hand, the one on Rainbow and Spring Mountain may not be as busy and older.

I go to the one by Trop/Beltway, there are so many brand new homes being built in the area together with brand new apt complex, they might have to reopen that store 24/7 at a later time. Out of the 3 Walmarts in Spring Valley, the Arroyo location and the Trop location are the better stores.

Default Bye-Bye To 24-Hour Wal-Marts!

Just read in the paper this morning, the long list of Wal-Mart's that will no longer be open 24 hours, they'll be closing at midnight, re-opening at 6am.

Being I work the night shift, I enjoy my once-a-week, early morning shopping at a Wal-Mart with their nearly-vacant aisles, and now I'll just have to re-schedule my shopping there. I get off at 6am, so I'll just have to adjust to shopping there after work.

So many business establishments in this city forget that there's an estimated 24,000 night shift workers in this city.

Tonite, on a bike ride, around 4am, I came upon Fletcher Toyota, and spotted some car in the lot I was curious about, and was chased away by this big fat security guard. I tried to tell him I was a night shift worker, can't get down to look during the day time, and he barked and barked at me: Get back to the sidewalk, or I'll call the police!

Ah! The joys of being a night shift worker in a "24-hour" city!!!
