I heard "Earl of Sandwich" was pretty good. Has anyone tried them?

It's a chain store. I haven't eaten there. But I've walked by them plenty of times at Caesars. Looks like your basic Quiznos/Subway/Port of Subs/Jimmy Johns/etc.

If there was a good grinder to be had in this town, I would be singing it's praises much like I do for Pizza Rock and Settebello.

Sadly, there isn't. (And, no, I'm not interested in starting such a business in Las Vegas. I don't have any confidence in this market.) If you want a good Italian sandwich, fly to San Francisco, and bee-line it to Molinari's, on Columbus Avenue. That's as good as you'll find in this hemisphere.

Like professional sports, it's just one of those things we don't have in Las Vegas. But at least we now have a decent concert hall, decent pizza, and decent barbecue. And that's all within the last 10 years. So things are improving.... ever so slowly.

Yes. When relatives/friends are in town they often want to eat there after hearing so much about it. Frankly, I think the sandwiches are average.

I like Rocco's sandwiches, especially the Brooklyn. This is the Rocco' New York Italian Deli on Buffalo and Charleston. not the one by Red Rock Resort. Don't know if it tastes like a New York deli sandwich since I've never been and don't care since I don't live there, but it's tasty. Ingredients in the Brooklyn include prosciutto, salami, pepperoni, mortadella and provolone.
