Does anyone know of any local bars or restaurants that have poker night?

I'm talking about poker night for prizes not for money. No buy-in. Just a buy a beer and play type of thing.

Does that exist?

No idea about that but why not play a cheap tournament at a locals casino? That way you get cash prizes and free beer. Drink 4 beers and you've paid for the tournament and can still win money...

Sounds like a good idea! Where do they have them at? Stations? Downtown? Boyd Gaming?

Check Ichabods on Flamingo.. I know they have bar poker nights, but I'm not sure if it's for cash or prizes.

Joker's Wild has a daily tournament with a $23 buy in every morning at 10:00a. GVR has a $40 buyin daily as well.

Nearly every casino that has a poker room has them. Places with a large poker room like the Orleans generally run one around noon and one at night. The cheaper ones are going to be in the smaller rooms and will be around $25-30 flat entry fee(a "freeze out"). The more common amount is $50-75. Pokeratlas.com has a schedule. The cheapest tonight are $35 at SAMs town and hard rock.

Fwiw Bellagio and Wynn have the best cocktails, but their tournaments are substantially more expensive.

Or just host a home game with your friends. I do that pretty much every other Tuesday night. Simple $20 buy-in tournament style. Order some pizzas, drink some beers. Normally we start with a table of 8. 2nd place gets their buy-in back, winner gets the rest. 20 minute blinds. Game normally lasts 2-3 hours.

Stizz,

I know your looking for more of a social than gambling experience. But if you play small tournies in the Casinos, and especially the locals casinos, you'll probably get to meet a pretty broad spectrum of people.
