What specific cheap games/slots in Vegas can my girl and I play? She just wants the feeling of winning something. We don't have a lot of money for gambling, so we wouldn't be betting a lot or doing things like that, but even if there are things where you can spend like $1 and win like $5 (potentially) that would suffice for a little thrill. Any places and/or directions to those places would be appreciated. Thanks.

Every casino has penny slots. While the chances of turning $1 into $5 are pretty slim, worst case scenario is you're only out $1

For games, most of the casinos on the strip will have $5 "money wheel". Have her put $5 on the "$1" spot, and your chances of doubling are pretty good. Not great, but pretty good. Worst case scenario, you're out $5 Best case scenario, you now have $10 to split and play penny slots, and you'll still only end up down $5.

1) Buy a slot machine.

2) You're the house!

3) Continue spinning those reels until it sinks in how these things work.

It's considerably cheaper than gambling. You can buy a used slot machine for a few hundred bucks on Craigslist -- seriously, check the listings. There's always slot machines for sale in the $400 range. Then use it as a piggy bank.

I did that for awhile. I decided it was boring and taking up space, so I sold it to a local geek. (And then the machine broke. I'm glad that local geek is a reasonable local geek.)

As stated above, look for the penny slots and specifically look for the ones that allow you to pick the lines played and the number of coins bet per line. Then you can pick one line and one coin. This will enable you to play for a penny each turn. You will then experience all the thrill of the flashing lights and anticipation of a win as well as score a free drink or two. Be sure to tip the server!

Cheaper than putting $1 in a slot machine? Your post is delusional. It is cheaper than putting $1000 in a slot machine, I'll give you that, but you need to read for comprehension...

And your priorities are hopelessly out of whack.

1) Buy a $400 slot machine.

2) Play it until you realize that it's a pointless waste of time.

3) Sell it for $400.

Once a bet is made, it is lost. Gone. Poof. The gambler then hopes to recover that money. Buy a $400 slot machine, and you own a $400 slot machine. Play it for a year, or two, or three -- it's not going to depreciate AT ALL. And then sell it for exactly what you paid for it. Maybe you can polish it up and sell it for a little more than what you paid for it.

Either way, it beats giving money to Sheldon, Steve, Jim or Gary.

You can get a slot spinning for 5 cents or less. Rarely going to win $5 from it, but for some people that's action.
