Hello all,

Considering a move to Las Vegas (recently decided that S Florida wasn't for me). I've read a ton of threads and it appears Summerlin and Green Valley Ranch are lovely - but I think a bit far from the strip. Time-wise they seem similar to Spring Valley - but it is my intention to be able to Uber to the Strip for fun/food and distance matters when doing this (from a price perspective).

So I've recently stumbled upon a variety of SFH in the Spring Valley area (should be about a $20 Uber ride each way). But the area seems pretty big. Does anyone have any descriptions of the different areas to focus on? The Lakes, Spanish Trails, Canyon Gate, West Sahara? And any other areas that are safe (home robbery safe primarily is my concern) and also closer than Summerlin to the Strip?

I am going to spend a week in the area in October and get a sense of the neighborhoods personally. But still, for those that live or know the areas well - your advice will enhance what I will learn in my short time there.

I'm 6 minutes from the strip
I'm 30 minutes from ANYWHERE in the valley
I have shopping / banks / everything within a 10 mins walk / 3 min drive
