Scoop is like a slice of lemon. A bit sour but adds flavor. Lol

Irishspy,
I get it. I lived in Syracuse for 27 years and Portland Maine for another 15. I'll take high A/C bills during the hot season rather than 8 months of heating ones.

Ahh my favorite meal in the whole wide world.. .well maybe not...but let us not split hairs...

Skanteatelas NY. Actually long enough ago that many of you were not yet born..

Broiled oysters. Upstate NY clam bake. Would never have thought of it. But you just cover a grill with good oysters and then watch. Little puff of steam you grab the victim with a gloved hand and whack off the top shell which is easy now the thing is cooked. Than a quick pass of the knife under the oyster and pass it to one of the waiting multitude. I am not sure there is anything that tastes better on this earth.

I spent my decades in Rochester...about an hour away. But I still remember.

I lived up the hill from Becky's in Portland for a while. Back when the Scotia Prince was docked next to it. Loved that little city. If they built a retractable dome over the whole place to keep the weather out, it would be a great place to live

We said that many times about West Des Moines, Iowa. What an amazing place. Weather sucks. We wanted to pick up the entire city and move it to a better climate.

True. He and I don't see eye to eye on everything, but I'd take his advice on a lot of things.

Icicle winds? Really? This town wouldn't know one if it did show up.
