An argument could be made that dumping the urban core into their own district would actually serve the valley's needs better. Have you tried luring a young doctor with a family to Las Vegas when he just read about CCSD being one of the worst school districts in the nation... AGAIN?

We've got to throw some resources at the bottom percentile, and creating a district that focuses on that might not be a bad thing.

I get your point, but the poor performing schools are not geographically close to one another. They are scattered throughout the valley. It would be very difficult to place them in one district.
