Yawn.....when I lived in Lindon during the 80's they were all the rage and I could not figure out why. White, bleached pine flat packed crap with occasional brightly painted accents. Their stuff would look great in a Kindergarten room. I hope it has grown up since then.

If your wallet can not afford IKEA stuff, you are really failing miserably. Oh dear.

There is no IKEA in San Fran. It is in Oakland (or Emeryville to be exact), not San Fran, a totally different city and different affordability.

It absolutely has. Have you seen the TV ads or a catalogue?

In addition to the cafeteria, Ikeas have grocery items, usually in an area after the check-out. That include bags of frozen meatballs.

I have bought some stuff online from Ikea but I have never been to one. I'm looking forward to it!

Snob much?

EA, I feel ya! I used to work a stone's throw from that location and had pretty much resigned myself to designating a portion of my paycheck to Ikea.

I had a canister light used for lighting artwork that I got at IKEA in California. It was twenty years old when I sold it at a yard sale, so not all of their stuff is disposable. It also tends to have some style.

Oh, and Swedish berry candy? Yummmm.
