If you know them, why dont you ask how they do it? You may not like the answer.

Sleep in your car overnight in one of hotel's storied parking lots. Warm and cozy...

It still amazes me the amount of people that truly believe that these multi-billion dollar resorts were built by giving stuff away for free...

"Free" is very subjective.

To get a room "free" at they Wynn you have to do 4 hours a day of $200 a hand blackjack.

Once you've played a bit you may occasionally get 3 day comp offers. But if you don't play much on your "free" trip, don't count on getting any more...

I did once pull a beautiful move on Caesars group once, gave one very strong day play, then booked 8 5-day comp trips with 2 days between them all at once. Stayed in Vegas for 2 months only paying for the occasional Tuesday & Wednesday night and didn't give them a penny more action. Back then pre reserved comp trips were untouchable.

Back to the op. The simple answer to your question is sign up for a players card and gamble. Lots. If you don't like it, pay for the room.

While I agree that you have to gamble in order to start getting free room offers, you don't have to gamble lots, I consider myself a pretty low level gambler (for a 5 day trip I may put $200-300 through the penny slots and will play a few hours of $5-10 blackjack and pai gow player) and I will usually get free room offers from some of the smaller properties like Gold coast and free weeknight rooms a some Total Rewards properties Also if you are traveling with another low level player you may be able to get a better deal when you combine your ratings even if you are both relatively low level players.

Playing MyVegas on facebook can get you free rooms a MGM but they are harder to get then they used to be and you have to commit hours of you time to earn enough points, especially if you aren't spending real money. While the things that you can get through playing the game has gone down in quality, you can still grab a few great deals.

Finally keep in mind that even if your room is free most hotels will charge you a resort fee which can be easily $20 to $30 a night.

I was a MyVegas member for almost a year, I Had over 1 million LP (Loyalty Points) but as a local I was penalized and my points where almost worthless, after months and months or frustration, I just abandoned the game, the points, and stopped gambling in any MGM Property.

Was that before or after they added the Station Casinos? They also have partnerships with other companies that will allow you to get out of Vegas like Allegiant and Royal Caribbean, if you haven't been on for a while it might be worth taking a look at what you may be snag with your points

Unbelievable. You must be a math genius. From the amount of money you put thru the casino ($300-500),
you really still think you got your room free at a less than popular casino property?

Now, keep in mind I don't gamble. But, I do see the benefits of different casino comp programs. The way I see it, if you're going to gamble, you may as well get something out of it (besides the immediate entertainment of the process). So, for people who're going to gamble anyway, it makes sense to be a member of a loyalty program. It's analogous to having a credit card that pays back a percentage of your expenditures.

That's exactly what i'm doing tonight except for hotel parking lot cause last time I did they somehow found out amd threw me out.

Yeah I won some money but I just can't justify paying $200-300 for a room.

Parked next to a semi busy street in a semi well lit business. Hopefully the usual freaks don't bother me.
