I refuse to spend money to pay for the privilege of losing money, if they don't at least credit you, or re-emberse you if you gamble, then the hell with them. I will take my money elsewhere.

On the flip side you could pay to win.

Valid point.

I would point out that this is one unconfirmed news report I'd save going fully ballistic until they actually announced.

But that is completely against what C-D is all about! Must declare imminent catastrophe whenever possible!!!

I'd be willing to bet, MGM is closely monitoring this site to see what you all feel about their policies. I'm sure they are working on a solution right now.

Five Hundy (the Vegas podcast) commented on this proposal today. They've been very accurate in the past and are putting the odds of this happening at 77% because:

1. The head of MGM has mentioned parking fees publicly before, saying that in any other city, if you go see a professional sports team and park on site, you can pay up to $50 to park (ouch!)

2. MGM has been contacted and will not confirm nor deny the rumor.... but in the past, they've been very quick to shoot down rumors which weren't true. Not so in this case.

I doubt they'll jack the prices up to $50 for big events, but it looks like they're laying the groundwork to get people used to the idea that there will be parking fees... at least for special events, but maybe all the time.
