can anybody tell me about the Aliante Area? Is it safe? Do the buildings have negative issues? Are there parks and libraries nearby? Any hospitals? Schools Good or Bad? Things to do? restuarants? Clubs? Grocery shopping? How long does it take to go downtown?

Aliante is excellent. Most say the whole package. Affordable but nit cheap. Great schools grocery shopping everywhere at little plazas. Get on the highway and it Should take you 20 min to get into downtown. Since its surrounding area is north Las Vegas its got a lot if military families with kids. Its just a cleaner part of the city. If I were to go back in time knowing what I know now I would have.made it work to live there. Lotssss of houses but some apartments that look really great. Less of a city atmosphere and great location if u need to commute in either direction.

As far as clubs you will have to go to the strip that's the only place they are located. But lots of restaurants in aliante / nortown (north Las Vegas) areas.

Aliante in North Las Vegas is beautiful! Family neighborhoods, walking/biking trails, parks, events. Very nice indeed.

North Las Vegas is considered the fastest growing city in Nevada according to the US Census of 2010...

Aliante is great area (and not just because I have a house there). I can walk to the library, Nature Discovery Park and the Smith's shopping center. There are probably at least half-a-dozen parks in a 2-mile radius from my house. Aliante Station Casino is only 1.5 miles from me and has plenty of restaurants and a movie theater (and gambling if you like that sort of thing).

I don't have kids, so can't comment on the schools.

Hop on the 215 and 2 miles down the road is Target, WalMart, Best Buy and a million other stores and restaurants.

It's a nice suburban community that is only a 15-20 minute drive to the strip.

My girlfriend and I bought a house in Aliante last August and have loved every minute here.

20 minute drive to the strip. Smith's around the corner. Park and Library right on Aliante Parkway, with several other parks within walking distance of us. If you ever go to breakfast at the Aliante Feast Buffet around 10:50am you could see me there... even though my gf has boycotted going there with me.

One minor annoyance was that the Deer Springs shopping area (Target, Home Depot, In N Out, etc) only had a freeway off ramp and no way to head back towards Aliante without backtracking on 215. Good news though, they are now almost done constructing the bridge for the on ramp so this will no longer be the case!

Haha. That shopping center had me very confused the first time I went. There is a back way out of there so you don't have to get back on 215, but I can't remember the names of the roads.

We've gone to the Aliante buffet around the same time. Pay breakfast prices and get lunch.

The fee's vary. If you are in a non-gated neighborhood in Aliante, you pay what Spam pays. Just the master fee. If you are in a gated neighborhood within Aliante, you will pay more and it varies. Where I am, we pay $110+ the master fee.
Some neighborhoods are higher, some are lower. To save the most, get into a non-gated neighborhood.
