That's what I expect...

There's a sucker born every minute and two to take him. "Well, I lost on this form of gambling, let me go someplace else with my losing ticket and lose again!"

I went to Plaza yesterday (Friday)and got my measly $6 free slot play. My husband got $20. Better than just $5 at Ellis. Still won nothing, and played while there after the $6 ran out. And of course lost that too.

You are welcome. There may be long lines, at least there was when we went. But it was nice of them to offer the free slot play in exchange for our tickets. And free parking up to 90 minutes in their lot, then $2 an hour after that.

And without a hint of snark or sarcasm, I have to ask: "Why do you keep doing this?"

When I'm in a casino to visit a restaurant, most of the people I see on the gaming floor aren't having any fun. They're basically just automatons, mindlessly feeding money into a machine and pressing buttons. Even winning doesn't look like fun. And losing is certainly no fun at all.

I'll never be able to wrap my head around the fact that lots of people see this as "recreation." Just like I'll never understand why tabloids and celebrity magazines are so popular.

vegas taco, the Plaza did not give us back our tickets. They marked them and kept them.
Plus the media fudged the story up a little. When I first saw it on the news, they said "any tickets bought as of 1-10-16, they would refund up to $25. But when we got there, they were only honoring tickets bought on 1-13-16.
Maybe that is why the lines were not as long as I thought they would be. Most people probably bought their extra powerball tickets Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, and not Wednesday, the day of the last draw.

Scoop, why do we keep doing what we do... Because we are human. We are not superior beings like some expect us to be. Just because you think that human beings should act just like you, well, keep dreaming. You are your own unique weird human being. So is everyone else.

I still had the last ticket I bought before it hit in my wallet. I ran it through the checker machine at the candy store around the block. I hit for $100.
