Didn't see NIPTON California mentioned as a place to play lotto. Its only a short 21 mile drive from Primm or about 25 minutes and closer than Baker. You go past Primm on I-15 and you go up the hill you exit for Nipton and Searchlight. At tiny Nipton there is a store with lines WAY WAY SHORTER than Primm. Last time there was a big jackpot,I don't think I was there more than 20 minutes while Primm was for hours!

Drove by Primm. The line circled the building at least once then went out into the desert. Looked like hours! Drove past the Cima Shell station, long lines there and they were advertising their waterfall urinals on a huge digital sign. Worth the trip just to see that! But SO said he was sure they weren't standing in line for the urinal.

On to Baker. We toured the town and there were lines everywhere. Went and got some Alien Jerky then went to the gas station to get tickets. They had an employee selling 10 quick picks a shot for $20 and you didn't have to wait in line. So I bought 10 tickets and headed home. The line was about an hour long to buy single tickets or pick your own numbers.

Wait.. he was selling the tickets for double the price? Now there's a side business I could get into! Making more money off the rubes by doubling their price is perfect. I bet he was doing big business with that plan too. Why the hell not.... these idiots are innumerate anyway.

If they're 2 dollars a pop, and there's 10 of them, that equals 20 dollars.

I thought quick picks were only $1, no? What would be the point of the guy selling 10 for $20 if they are already $2? He's selling at cost and not making any profit? Makes no sense.

The employee was selling them for the employer to clear the lines and increase sales. It gets rid of all the people who don't care about picking their own numbers.
