Nice guy, perhaps a great recruiter, but he wasn't going to get UNLV basketball team to the playoffs.

Who do you think they should interview?

Ben Howland, can't imagine he really wants to stay in the SEC and get crushed every year. Still can't believe UCLA got rid of him, not like they have been any better with Alford.

SEC basketball is not SEC football. It is getting better overall with better coaches, but a school like Mississippi State can win, especially with a proven winner like Ben Howland. He will have a rough first year as he usually does in his career, but he signed a top 5 recruiting class for next year. Good coach and, believe it or not, loves the Starkville area.

Wasn't a fan of Alford's hiring but UCLA did make back to back Sweet 16 appearances with him. That's the farthest they've advanced since 2007-8 season under Howland.

And they've beaten #1 Kentucky, #7 Arizona and #20 Gonzaga this season.
