Yes I've read the salaries and reviews....

I have fallback plans for a job as well in case Smith doesnt work out....

I also have a room to rent lined up through good friend of mine near Decatur/Craig in NLV for $450 a month

Be aware that parts of the NW have gone to hell in a handbasket. You should be okay on Decatur & Craig, but go as far north as you can. Jones and Craig / or Lake Mead is a war zone these days. Decatur is not that far away.

I'm looking at other places as well, I haven't been in Vegas in 4 years now so I don't know which neighborhoods have gone down or not....

But considering I know the homeowners of the place I'm renting the room from and looking at their street on Google maps street view I should be ok

One of my first job's was at Kroger which is part of the same company as Smith's. It was a decent job as a teenager. I remember that we were union and we got a slight raise every six months. As a teenager I hated being in the union; however, now that it is around twenty years later many of my classmates who started w/ me at sixteen are now thirty six and making good money and have always had a stable job. I would say it's a stable employment w/ a pretty solid company. You won't be rich but you won't be likely to get laid off either.

I dont get it. You escaped the last time by the skin of your teeth. Unless you have acquired a skill set that pays a real living wage. Why come back to Vegas to resettle and struggle again.
