You are more likely to be killed by a toddler than a terrorist.
You are more likely to be killed by furniture than a terrorist.
Don't let irrational fear-mongering in pursuit of ratings or votes distort your perception of reality.

The "terrorists" we should be wary of do not live in the middle east.

Since a terrorist attack is most likely going to occur in one of the major strip casinos, and since local never go to the strip, all the locals posting here are perfectly safe.

I dunno about the tourist joints but you figure the locals joints have a reasonable numer of concealed carry folks that would shoot back. And if the casino has armed security, combine that with the camera network and it's a tough environment for gun fighting.

The San Bern shooter worked there so he knew the onsite security and that pretty much none of his cowokers carried concealed. Urban California CCW permits are *tough* to get. And except for OK City and maybe WTC Uno (the rental truck bomb in parking garage?) terrorist IEDs in usa have been pretty weak. (am I forgetting any "successes"?)

Much higher odds of other demise - Heart Attack Grill, LOL.

I'm sure there are concealed carrier customers in the casinos (insofar as there are locals recreating in the strip casinos.)

I don't know about armed security employed by the casinos themselves. They've been robbed on a few occasions, and no one on the casino side fired a shot, with no indication they were in a position to do so. The liability for an errant bullet hitting a bystander would likely cost them more than robbers could steal. They seem to be more than happy to let Metro, and/of the FBI do the muscle work.

For the record, there WAS a person with a CCW permit at San Bernardino. He said he had been carrying for 20 years, but only watched the killers drive away. Didn't shoot. Neither did the one at Gabby Giffords or the armed guard at Columbine. It's a fantasy to make people feel better, but the "good guy with a gun" argument is (mostly) a fantasy.

I'm already terrified of visiting the Strip.

These days they try to get the most "bang" (carnage/death) per attempt...I'd be more worried in any crowd than inside a casino. Armed guards would be on them in 5 seconds.

I'm more frightened of the dealers in Vegas than the terrorists. Those guys ROB YOU.

I've never seen a visibly armed guard in a casino. In point of fact, the casinos would rather allow 100 patrons to get killed by terrorists than have one patron get shot by one of their guards, and having the patron or their family sue the casino.
