When you had to report for jury duty at the Regional Justice Center downtown on Lewis, where is a good place to park?

Look at the summons for Jury Duty. They tell you where to park and the bailiff validates your ticket. If you are selected and you are going to be there for a while they will assign you different, closer, parking.

Lucky you. I'm usually stuck going. Every two years like clockwork. And then I'm the absolute last person in the voir dire for the day. And then as soon as they ask me my employment history, I'm excused. An utter waste of a day. But they don't have a option of "never call this guy for jury duty because he'll never, ever, ever be selected."

At least I get paid a full day's pay to read books. (Union.)

For those of you who have had to report to jury duty, what time did you have to be in court by?

The sheet says you maybe required to report as early as 7am. WTF I keep late night hours so I am wondering if they ask me to be there at 7am, how early i need to wake and get there. I'm think I need to arrive 1 hour before reporting to be able to walk from the parking lot to the RJC which is like 4 blocks down. So I need to be up by 5 and get ready and leave by 6:00 to get to the parking lot by 6:30 am and walk to the building. Damn. I'll be a zombie around 7am even with a giant cup of coffee.

It depends on what they want you to do. When I was on jury duty for 6 months I had to report at 8am a couple times but usually it was much later. And if that early report is on a Monday it is very crowded so go early!

When I reported last year. I showed up at 7:00. The jury commissioner or what ever her title is did not show up untill 7:30 and then started creating badges and took roll call.

The public parking at the Regional Justice Center looks like it is metered. Do you need quarters or will dollar bills suffice? Can you exit after 9 PM? My friend has a class from 5PM to 9PM tonight at RJC.

The indoor garage labelled "City of Las Vegas Parking Garage" at 455 S third street looks more convenient, but in one website it says the price is $1.50 per hour and another says $4.00 per hour. Also it says hours 8AM to 8PM, but it is not clear if there is "no entry" after 8 PM, or can she go there and get her car after the class is over at 9PM.

Please help!
