we will be arriving on April 10 to look for a house. My question is do you think it is unreasonable to think that we might be able to get an inspection done on the house within a day or so of an accepted offer.
we are really hopping to be able to be there ourselves with the inspector , not that I dont trust our agent I just prefer to be there myself as they are walking around the property. I have found in my past experiences here in MA that the inspectors will talk to you and point things out rather than just reading them in the report. Since we have never lived out west the style of houses are totally foreign to us ( slabs, tile roof, stucco exterior, water loops etc.. ) so being there with the inspector is important to us but yet we cant really justify flying back out again for the inspection.

any recommendations on inspectors will gladly be appreciated.

thank you

Lead time on inspectors is 2 to 4 days generally. The better ones tend to be well booked. If you can get the names of 4 or 5 good ones go through the list and pick the one soonest. They can sometimes do next day due to cancellations.
