Went to the Buffet at Wynn for Easter (saturday night) and it was 58/person. Great food, but NOT HAPPY

How can I get these kinds of buffetts for under $35/person?

You can often find (on Travelzoo) 2 for 1 coupons for Palms Buffet. Only problem with that is that it is Palms Buffet, which (in my opinion) is quite disgusting.

The M has the best buffet (not just my opinion but regularly rates very high if not at the top of best buffet in Vegas polls) and will run you $40 on the weekends. If you are new to The M and get a players card, 1 hour of play for newbies get $25 off at any restaurant in the hotel.

And this is why people shouldn't trust online restaurant polls. People don't really care about quality. They care about perceived value.

They could be served all-you-can-eat, freezer-burnt crab legs and still rave about the place. Because it's AYCE seafood. Furthermore, I regularly see the "Buffet of Buffets" rated number-one in Las Vegas. This means that the people rating the buffets will rave about disgusting food if it's sold cheap enough.

Any best-of list which doesn't include Bacchanal or Sterling is the wrong freakin' list.

The Studio B buffet at M isn't bad. But it hasn't been "great" since about two weeks after M opened. Apparently they're running under the philosophy of "get them drunk on cheap wine and beer and the positive reviews will flow."

I would MUCH rather eat a great bowl of pho, or eat some great dim sum or some great tacos for a few bucks than spend $30 for $10 worth of AYCE food.

You can get free food, rooms, rides, shows and all sorts of things from MyVegas slots and blackjack. Go to amazon and download the app to your phone and link it to a facebook account. You can then collect free chips to play with and earn loyalty points to redeem for free goodies. Set it up on a laptop for even more chips. The last trip to Vegas we ate two buffets a day for free from several different casinos.

That doesn't work for locals. Only out-of-towners. (So my local friend who is no longer a part of this forum told me.) He played all the time, racked up a bunch of perks, and was then told he wasn't allowed to use them.

PS -- To answer the original question: Gamble hundreds of thousands of dollars per year. Then they'll give you free buffets. You pay one way or pay another. But pay you will.

The OP was also looking for a weekend buffet for less than the $58 he/she paid at Wynn. Of which neither Bacchanal or Sterling qualify for.

I read it as the OP wanting the high-end buffets on the cheap: "How can I get these kinds of buffetts [sic] for under $35/person?"

Studio B isn't in the same league as Wynn/Caesar's/Bally's. Telling him or her how to get a cheap buffet for cheap isn't keeping with the spirit of the question.

The short answer that actually answers the question is, "Gamble hundreds of thousands of dollars per visit. And visit often. And then the resorts will GLADLY give you a free high-end buffet."
