Why don't you just die and let the f'ing planes land in peace?

Or she could just move. It's not like the airport wasn't there when she moved wherever it is she lives.

I come back to this thread every few days, and it's the same things over and over again. Like not watching a soap opera for a month, and coming back and picking up where you left off.

Similar arguments pro and con could be made in Phoenix, and no one is seriously looking at moving Sky Harbor. It just keeps growing/improving.

See you again in a week or so.

Because Sky Harbor is located a mere 4 miles from downtown in a bowl and surrounded by humans, it shares the same noise, brown cloud, safety, containment issues as LAS. There are no pro arguments for leaving it where it is, just as there are no pro arguments for leaving LAS where it is.

I would think that it's about time for it to get out of town, too. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Anyone want to talk about San Diego? Kidding.

Thanks for the input, Marie. I feel your pain.
Now, if we could get the other two million residents of this valley to speak up, something might happen.

If you are short on intellect and unable to convince someone of the invalidity of an idea using logic and examples, then a crude dismissal such as this invariably is the next thing out of the person’s mouth.

cons of moving the airport:

-billions in cost, construction time
-increase number vehicles on the 15 (taxis, shuttles, personal cars etc)
-more cars equal more traffic and pollution
-longer commute

I didn't say it, I wrote it. I'm surprised that you even bring up the subject of intellect. Sure, LAS could move to Jean, but one has to be realistic of the costs involved and the need for moving the airport. Money doesn't grow on trees and the huge amount of money you are talking about could be better spent on the schools in Vegas and other community based projects. Nobody cares about the noise, the pollution, the possibility of a plane crashing into one of Vegas' slums. Just go into a local casino something and LOOK at all the people smoking and drinking and gambling. That's what Vegas is all about. And that's why this thread is a f'ing joke.

You mean moving near an airport that's been there forever causes noise overhead from the airplanes? Who knew!

Well, in all honesty, if they did move the main airport to Ivanpah, it's likely they'd build some sort of rail connection to handle the bulk of passengers. It would be idiotic to not do that.

But for the rest of your reasons, and more, it's just not going to happen (no matter how much Bruff huffs and puffs.)
