Beware....Auto theft is going hot and heavy...three most popular brands are Toyota, Honda, and Nissan...reports stating over 1400 a month being ripped off. No place is safe, however it appears the Northwest is a targeted area.

Close friend was hit last Monday AM...between 1-5 AM. 2004 Toyota Tacoma, double cab, 4x4, silver/grey...in Ann/95 vicinity....decent reward if recovered...PM me with any leads !

Encourage residents to invest in cameras, alarm systems, lo jack or anything you can afford to slow these creeps down....

They've figured out how to beat the chip in key systems? These have proven very effective. Or are stupid people leaving the keys in the cars?

Lets say that I have maximum insurance coverage, where would I park my car with the best chance of it being stolen? Just asking for a friend.

The hotspot for car thefts has always been down near UNLV.

Next time you renew that "premium" policy, and get hit with the "premium" rate increase, thank your friend:

I'm actually better off keeping it and making the payments. Need the credit boost so I can buy a house this year.

Those key transponders can be circumvented ...they provide a false sense of security...They are better than nothing but unfortunately if they want it bad enough...they will figure out a way !

I don't know why people are suprised about the property and violent crime rate in Las Vegas.

The crime has no where to go up for the city. It has a police to population ratio that is lower then small towns in Wyoming and North Dakota.

I am sure all the gangsters are moving here because they know that law enforcement here is so lax and even if they arrest, the tiny jail has no vacancies.

Absolutely zero sense of community, a population that ignores all social problems.

You are making payments on a 13 year old Nissan? Ouch, that's gotta hurt.
