Nice to be able to turn off the sprinklers Friday with the rain, showers, and thunderstorms over the last couple days. I had just switched from once a day to 3 times a day Wednesday. I probably will leave them off Monday and turn them back on maybe Friday.

Love the rain and so do my plants. I fill several buckets, a big plastic tub and a 39 gallon trash can with rain water coming off the roof. I'll be able to turn off my drip system (no grass) for couple weeks or so and hand water with the rain water I collected. We need every drop!

It's been a while since we had this much rain. The totals I saw are really low. I think we got more rain in my area.

The disparity between neighborhoods is high. I was watching the totals on the news yesterday afternoon, and, at that point, my neighborhood had gotten 0.59", while NLV had 1.89". Almost 1.5" difference is big!

We were out in the rain/hail when it hit really hard in the Sun City neighborhood of Aliante yesterday. Got soaked through running back to the car. The hail was quite big. This is the second time in 17 years of living here that I have seen hail. The sheep range also had a dusting of snow across the top but it soon melted. It kept raining for quite awhile after that, with some flooding in many streets.
Today it just drizzled and some very light rain before noon. No big deal. It was a nice break from the heat lately.

This was today.

This was yesterday, same tree.

Normally, if you jumped off this bridge, you would die from the fall. Yesterday, you would have died for much different reasons.

Wow! It's been raining off and on for a couple of days in Tucson (first time since Dec.) but nothing as dramatic as that. My buckets I put out to catch the rain from the roof didn't even fill up today, although they did yesterday. Very cloudy tonight, too, so maybe more tomorrow.
