This is June 11th Saturday.... just played poker yesterday at the Mirage ( an MGM property). I went to the front desk and they told me that if a person applies for the credit card that MGM has ( don't know any details about the credit card) that if your approved for that credit card.... then Parking will be free. I have no idea if the credit card has an annual fee. Lets check this out everyone! by the way the poker dealers in the Mirage poker room for the most part are really grumpy.. only a few halfway nice.

Apply now!

https://www.mlife.com/en/overview/ml...ercard-r3.html

No annual fee and no Forex fees.

It's issued by an arm of First National Bank of Omaha. Their point values have sucked in the past. So while the rewards on this card look good, it all depends on how many points equal a dollar, or if they redeem favorably for travel.

Any idea if you have to be a hotel guest to use the benefits?

Haven't looked at the redemption options but if it's like every other rewards card you earn points on every purchase, just more on partner (MGM) spending and in this case gas and supermarkets. Redemption's would be separate with maybe a discount on MGM stuff.

I may have misunderstood your question. If by benefits you mean free parking then no. Having this card and an MLife loyalty card automatically bumps the MLife card up to pearl level which is what gets you free parking. You wouldn't need to be a guest to use that.

and we've stooped even lower

What's next, we're all going to start wearing MGM branded clothing to get free entry once they start charging an entry fee?

If you're playing poker, 75 hours of logged play will get you pearl status and free self park

"75 hours of logged play"
Gee, so cheap!

If I spend a total of more than 3 days in an MGM casino, shoot me.

If you're a local playing poker, 75 hours isn't so much. A few weeks maybe. And since they're not charging locals for the rest of the year, I bet most of the local players will be all pearled up by the end of the year.

And I bet anyone with any even vaguely significant level of slot table play will get the same deal. So they'll just keep carving out exceptions so that only people who only come for stadium show, or just want to park, walk through, and leave, without spending any money, will end up paying. I bet soon we'll hear about validation for restaurant and club customers.
