I was waiting for my wife one day, she was finishing up a bingo game a few years ago. I don't gamble, but I eventually put a dollar bill in a penny slot machine and played a penny a game! I lasted almost an hour iirc.

Nothing wrong with that if you are just killing time. My wife's mom does pretty much the same thing. She gets giddy when she wins two bucks. LOL.

Perhaps stay at Sam's Town during the week days. There is a free shuttle to the strip and you don't have to gamble at all on the Strip as there is so much to see. Beer and marg's are $1 at Casino Royale besides Harrahs. On Wednesday at Sam's Town there are morning poker tournies for $23 and on Wednesday it is Young at Heart where movies are $4, 2 for 1 meals at buffet, TGIF, etc. There is a Subway, McDonalds (2 items for $5) and a few other fast food places. Free laser light show and a nice waterfall park area to kick back and read or have a coffee. The slots are pretty good compared to the Strip too! Try the WOF machines just out the TGIF door...They are usually pretty loose. At Boulder Station which is real close they have free slot tournaments, free Starbucks coffee, and movies for $4 too on Wednesday with lots of meal deals in their restaurants. Get the slot cards at both of those places as soon as you walk in. If you are a vet, Boulder Station has Monday's specials; just ask when you get your card at the players' club.
