Wondering if anyone can identify these old signs? They have been parked behind a building in Northern Nevada since the mid to late 80's, maybe early 90's. We know they never went to this building, but where they came from is unknown. The previous owner of the building shopped the casino/hotel closeout sales, most of it seemed to be from Las Vegas locations, and some from Jackpot.

These signs are big, guessing 25 foot long on the flat side, I had to get 40ft in the air to get first pic. There are 4 pieces total, it takes 2 to make one sign with the seam down the center. In first pic the top of the sign is to the right. The only letter I can see appears to be a T.

I'm not from Nevada and have no frame of reference to know where these signs came from.

Well, I figured the shape of the signs would be a dead giveaway as to where they were from, I guess not. A forklift will be here soon, I'll pull them apart and figure it out, no guarantees they won't be bent up further at that point though.

Here is a few more, no idea where these are from either. Probably the dead giveaway here is the "wings" that attached to the sides of the "casino" sign.

nothing jumps out at me, maybe inquire with YESCO.

I'd be interested to see that first sign when the forklift comes, A 'T' in the middle of the word probably means something generic like HOTEL or MOTEL, but maybe not.

I was looking at these pics the other night and noticed both signs had 1 thing in common, STARS. In cleaning out the building there were many sheets and towels with Star Motel or Hotel written on them, I think it was a Jackpot Nv business, but I'm not sure. Google search shows a West Star in Jackpot today, but no idea if there is any connection.

Anybody remember a Star Motel/Hotel/Casino in Jackpot?

Suggestion...stick this thread on the Nevada (state) forum...as it may be well out of the LV vicinity.

Well I moved the signs today, anyone remember a "Star Casino"? The letters for "casino" are gone, but the imprint is clear.

Pics. Another forklift and operator would have made this job easier, and less damage to signs.......
