Anyone that has a seasonal ID card to you know if this can be renewed online or do you have to go to the DMV? I looked on their website but couldn't find any information on this.

You have to go to DMV. I renewed mine two years ago. Fortunately, it doesn't expire until 2022.

Make an appointment using the DMV website and / or dash pass . It's the best way to go. It won't be a multi-hour ordeal that way. I did it about three weeks ago. In and out in 45 minutes doing a movement permit and a title change.

Do you have to bring current copies of documents that you gave them to begin with to renewal?

I can't remember, but I don't think so. Even when I applied the first time they never even looked at any of my documents.

Any idea if these can be got by foreigners? Dmv sort of says no, but some older posts on this forum indicate otherwise

You might be able to get one. See below from the DMV website (Apply for a New Nevada Identification Card | DMV.org). Mine is a seasonal ID since I live in NJ, but own a house in Las Vegas. I basically use my ID to get free show tickets and locals discounts.

NV ID Card Eligibility Requirements

In Nevada, you can apply for an identification card if:
  • You're 10 years old or older.
  • You're a resident of Nevada.
If you are a tourist, you are not eligible for a Nevada ID card. If you are a non-U.S. citizen, you may be eligible depending on your immigration status.

If you are a resident of another state but live in Nevada for part of the year, you may be eligible for a NV seasonal resident ID. To be eligible for a seasonal resident ID card, you must:
  • Live in Nevada for at least 31 days consecutively every year.
  • Maintain temporary residence in NV.
  • Return to your state of jurisdiction or your usual residence at least once every year.
  • Be registered to vote, or pay income tax in a different state or jurisdiction.
  • Not conduct a trade, profession, occupation or paid employment in NV.

List of acceptable identification: Residency & Proof of Identity
