Thanks for all your support!

Also if there is a moderator reading this, could you update the original post to RECOVERED status?

Hi Las Vegas Community,

I wish I was writing to you all with better news but the title of this post says it all.

My beloved "Blue Blair" -- a 2011 BMW 335i Sedan E90 M-Sport with BMW Performance Edition fully loaded in beautiful LeMans Blue was stolen out of a garage while being serviced at BMW of Las Vegas.

Based on security camera footage, it was stolen sometime around 8:20pm on Monday Oct 10, 2016.

When I arrived at the dealership on Tuesday Oct 11, 2016 at 9am to pick up my car... they tell me that my car was missing!

I have contacted local police and filed stolen vehicle police report.

It has Nevada License plate# 761 ZBZ with a license plate cover that says "Cal Alumni." In the rear drivers side window has a scripted "Cal" logo sticker and on the rear passengers side window has a "Berkeley Optometry" seal sticker. Stock M-Sport rims. It also has a BlackVue DashCam on the front and back.

According to the dealer, there was no sign of forced entry, no windows broken, no garage door chains were broken so the car should be intact.

Here are pictures of the car

Please help me find my car!

If you see it, please contact me AVATARSOL@gmail.com or call Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Spring Valley Command at (702) 828-2639 or the general phone (702) 828-3111.

Thank you!

Chances are your car is in a container at the port of LA, being put on a ship to Africa. Likely you're not getting it back.

I'd be pursuing all the options available to you to get reimbursed so that you can replace it.

Can you use BMW Assist to find your car? I grabbed some text from the bmwusa web site below. See item number 4 that I highlighted. Sorry for your loss. I hope you find the car.

Does BMW Assist track my vehicle's location?
No, the BMW Assist system only transmits your vehicle's location: 1. When the vehicle initiates the Automatic Collision Notification service after a severe impact occurs, 2. When the "Concierge," "Customer Relations" or "Service Request" menu option is pushed or when the vehicle's sensors detect the need for upcoming services and the system automatically transmits service information to your local BMW center on BMW Assist-equipped 2004 and later 5 and 6 Series, 2006 and later 7 Series and 3 Series Sedans and Sports Wagon, 2007 and later X5 and 3 Series, 2008 and later X6 and 1 Series, 2009 and later Z4, 2011 and later X3, and 2013 and later X1, 3. When you request service by pushing the "SOS," "Wrench," "Emergency" or "Roadside Assistance" button, 4. If you request Stolen Vehicle Recovery service by calling (888) 333-6118 after filing your police report (on all 7 Series produced 9/05 and later and all other 2005 and later BMW Assist-equipped and activated models produced 10/04 or later.)

Thank for you the advice on BMW Assist. It is active however I have had the run around from BMW Assist and the police. BMW Assist says LV Police needs to contact them. LV Police says that BMW Assist has to contact them. No detective has yet been assigned to my case..... so I can't speak to anyone at LV Metro PD about the situation.

Inside job? I'd be directing the police to look closely at the workers there.

The more stories I hear about the LV police the lower my opinion falls.

The dealership should be reimbursing you for the full cash value of the car.

Unfortunately communication with the dealer has been non-existent. I will keep you all informed as to what becomes of this. But so far it has been a nightmare dealing with BMW of Las Vegas.

Thanks you all for your support and for looking out!

Does your insurance cover theft? If so get the cash and let the insurance company sue the dealership to recover their own losses.

I will keep an eye out for it, and I'm really sorry about your situation, but I really think you will be very disappointed if you expect Metro to do much at all for you aside from call when it turns up.
