Future vision in Las Vegas extends about 6 weeks out, then falters into a pit that is harder to find than the treasure at Oak Island.

Not that bad. But an interesting set of conflicts of interest. Remember most of the County Commission which controls all this is elected by the citizens who do not live it the strip commission district. And yes of course the casinos spread a lot of dollars around...but enough to control? No way. At here our guy is actually an old ball player who never got a real job and has been a City councilman or County Commissioner since I can remember. And he wins on local loyalty...In Sun City it is Beer though he may be in some trouble over the Bad Lands golf course mess where he has gotten on the side opposed by the citizens and they might take him out. He is a green eye shade accountant and about as conservative as can be but thrives in the SC and Summerlin arena. And in a county where all the Commissioners are Democrats.

I remember Oak Island from a book when I was about 10 or 11. Richard Haliburton got into it at one point in one of his books. My initial growth was rather provincial. Louisville or NYC and nothing else. Haliburton convinced me there were other places.

That aerial gondola seems more and more interesting.
