Asking anyone who works in the Las Vegas/Henderson areas as a paralegal, attorney assistant, or any other legal position...how is the job market in the legal field? Can anyone provide information as to salaries for these positions? I'm not taking about working in an office for one of those personal injury attorneys who advertise on signs over the freeways...I'm taking about legit firms in Las Vegas, or even better, national law firms who have local offices in Las Vegas such as Ballard Spahr, Greenberg Traurig, Ogletree Deakins, Fisher Phillips etc.

All the courts are here too so don't overlook the State of Nevada. They pay pretty well too. People with experience can do well here.

I'm an attorney at a small firm. I believe the market for non-Attorneys (paralegals, legal secretaries) is better than for attorneys. The salary range varies greatly, but some legal secretaries can make more than a new attorney depending on experience. I think an experienced paralegal would have no problem finding work.

I recently retired after 20 years of working as a Senior Specialist in Intellectual Property. I talked to a legal recruiter in Las Vegas that told me I would have no problem finding a good paying position with my experience in this practice area. Now that I'm retired and relocating to Henderson next spring, I may look into doing some part-time or contract work if someone needed some help.

I have a friend that works for Greenburg Traurig in their IP practice and he likes it there. He was lucky to land that position since intellectual property isn't really a big practice area in Las Vegas, but that firm is one of the bigger ones in that area.
