Condition is pretty much unknown without visiting them. The Carey address is a difficult area.

Good info.

I've seen couple $20k homes in Baker and Pahrump... maybe they are better areas and condition.

Is it reasonable to assume you have never been to Baker?

LOL..I think you are describing Barstow...

I thought Baker was like two gas stations three resturants and 20 trailers...ofcourse its possible they have built it up, I haven't been thru there in several years but at the time there was nothing to like.

I suspect 10 and 10 is close to the truth.

We never miss it. A little hummus and a salad at the mad Greek.

Maybe like 20 years ago?

They got Burger King, Denny's, Arby's, Taco Bell, Mad Greek, Carl's Jr, Fatburger, Jack in the Box, Del Taco, Alien Jerky etc.

Chevron, Shell (2), Arco, 76, Valero etc. They just opened up another 76 with couple restaurants.

Regardless i am looking for a cheap place close to Vegas where I can sleep at at night since I will be spending all day at the casinos. Heck I'd probably be fine with a cheap plot of land and parking an RV on it.

You would have a better shot in Pahrump. Though it is over an hour to the strip.

And you probably end up with a single wide on an acre.
