Hi!

I am moving to LV from NYC in a few months.Been to LV many times, but always stayed on the strip at the hotel (like most visitors) and never really saw outside areas.

I know there are quite a few nice neighborhoods in LV but I need a local advice:

What would be the safest, most desired upper middle class areas in Las Vegas?

Would you also name some specific Zip codes,Please?

Thanks so much!

Paris

How upper middle? There are a large number of estate type housing in 89134, 89144, 89129, 89149 89044, 89052, 89011, 89166, 89107 and other places.

And then there are the high rises along and near the strip.

Said another way there is Section 10 and Section 11 and Section 4 and the Scotch 80.

You can also pick up five or ten acres in the NW or SW and build your own compound as you like it for under two million.

Say a little more about what you are after and we can probably get more precise.

Summerlin in general should fit your needs. It's known as the primary upper-middle class, ritzy area of Vegas.
Lots of shopping, parks, and bike trails too. Nice area.

Paris...you have already decided to make a move to an area that you've never visited, except as a tourist? Residential Las Vegas does not include The Strip (that's tourist Las Vegas.) Unless you plan to live on The Strip, which is the only place you've been to in LV, why would you decide to move there? I guess there are exceptions...job transfer or college...but if not one of them why wouldn't you check out the place first?

I always give the same advice as jfk did above. You have to make a fact finding trip here to LV, first. See how the natives live, rent a car, drive in any direction away from the Strip, drive through neighborhoods, go in the stores...

What happens if you don't like what you see? You can't possibly be all set to move to Las Vegas when you haven't really been here, other than in tourist/Strip capacity.

There are lots of nice places throughout the Valley that are nice, and not just in Summerlin or Henderson. Do you want to rent or buy?

Perhaps contacting a local realtor would be the best choice. Their knowledge of the Valley and the three cities here, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson, would be valuable to someone like you, wanting to move here without any prior knowledge of the area.

Private/direct mail Olecapt...he can help you with this enormous task.

Much good luck to you, let us know how you're doing!
