Denny, no one until now has responded because:

1. Your post doesn't make sense.

2. We're waiting to see if you come to your senses & post something more coherent.

3. In-case what you're seeking is help to find a home here in the LV area, we're kinda thinking we don't want you here, based on #1 & 2.

Not being mean, just being honest.

You are going to have some difficulty finding an apartment that will accept four cats.

Living in Las Vegas without a car is very difficult. Waiting for a bus in the extreme heat of summer gets intolerable very fast.

You can have larger than a one bedroom for 1K.

Get rid of cats. Get a car. If you don't like this advice, don't move to Vegas.

Don't get rid of cats. They love you more than people do. Rent a house near the bus line.

Having the cats makes renting the house much more problematic.

And, after standing at a bus stop, roasting in 113 degree heat, to get to another bus stop, to wait for the transfer (again, baking like a meatloaf in a convection oven), the OP will realize the logic of the saying "No car, no Vegas."

I don't think he has to make a choice between his cats and a car here. We don't know why the OP doesn't drive. it could be by choice, it could be for other reasons that they can't control. "get car" isn't always an option for people.

OP, where are you living now? Are you currently renting with 4 cats? I don't think it is impossible, you just have to look harder than most and forget about traditional, large complexes where a limit of 2 pets is pretty much standard. Look at Craig's List or similar and find a landlord that is pet friendly. I'd contact any potential landlords and let them know that you have the cats but also, say, own a carpet shampooer and are very good about cleaning up after them. Let them know the cats are all fixed (assuming they are) and litter trained, etc.

I made my move with 2 cats and 2 dogs and have rented several places in Phoenix, no problem.

As for the car, it will be hard to not have a car as stated already (it's HOT), but depending on your reasons for not driving that will be something you will have to learn to deal with.

Okay, the question wasn't "I'm in Vegas. I don't have a car. What do I do?"

They're not in Vegas yet. They're in NYC. I'm in NYC, so I understand how New Yorkers think about cars (often as not particularly necessary.) As you know Vegas is VASTLY more auto-centric than NYC. If someone is considering moving to Vegas, and doesn't want to get a car, they should really reconsider whether they want to live in Vegas. They may be better off moving somewhere else that is less auto-centric (or, in the case of the OP, stay where they are, where a car is not really necessary.)

I agree with you, but also the OP stated "I don't drive" not "I don't have a car." They may not be able to drive for a variety of reasons, we can't just assume it is by choice. Many places are going to be difficult without a car, period, not just Las Vegas.
