Was told some of the professionals need a license to buy what they use. This is who I use.

No issues ever in 17 years.

If you are re-landscaping and pulling up everything. Have the bug people spray before anything gets put back in. Even the rocks. Sets up a good base.

Scorpions are a creature of habit. Some houses that have them are because that is where the scorpions trail was. So that is why they are hard to get rid of.

I've never seen one. But a friend was decorating palm trees for a Christmas party, got bitten and ended up in the hospital.

I keep reading the thread title as "Black Widows AS Pets" and my reaction is "How about NO?"

Can you imagine trying to put a leash on a black widow?

Depends on the area 100%. Used to live around pecos and tropicana. Aside from the "interesting" residents, there were roaches all over the area. Dozens of widows. No snakes, no scorpions and no lizards. Where I live now theres these little geckos that live in the underground irrigation boxes. I think they come out at night and take care of the spiders and anything else.

Geckos I like... so if I were to "allow gecko residents" would that maintain the widow and scorpion population..? But who then, would come after the geckos..?

Don't count on them being there. I've never seen them anywhere but my house. I doubt they would eat scorpions. Lots of other natural lizards too. They run across the walls doing their head bob thing.
