Hi guys,

I just moved to Vegas with my sister. We're staying at an extended stay place right now, but we'd like to lease an apartment together. She does not have a car so we'd like to keep it somewhere central for the time being. Spring Valley, near the strip, or perhaps downtown.

Both of us are college grads (late 20s), have no record, good credit,etc...

The google reviews I've read for most places in that price range are horrendous. Roaches, rats, and shady people seems to be the common theme.

Are there any centrally-located apartments in that price range that are half decent? We don't need fancy living. But it can't be a hazmat zone either.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Plenty of 2 bdrm apartments 1k and under in good neighborhoods. Houses on the other hand, more difficult.

Here's the options for downtown. downtownliving.vegas | Apartments

Look into the Fremont 9 apartments. They're opening Fall 2017.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!

We ended up finding a nice place for a reasonable amount. They even waived the security deposit for us so we're pretty happy with it.

Cheers.
