I ordered an Arctic Cool shirt. Maybe it's baloney but they CLAIM it works. It has been shipped and I will let you know what I think.

I never let the sun touch my skin when I am outside working. Especially when I was deployed to Iraq/Afghanistan during 120+ degree weather. I learned from the locals over there.

I dress like an arab if I go outside. No joke. They know how to stay cool. What I wear on my head and face, you can see my eyes only. Long fairly shapeless dresses. I do wear underwear though. TMI?

My gardener comes every other Sunday from around 7AM to Noon, Light long sleeve shirt, Jeans, hat with sun shield in the back and a bandana around the neck. Son is dressed the same. They are obviously comfortable in 100+. Lots of water. And I have seen them water the bandanna and shirt. So they are playing the swamp cooler game.

They do it for a livng so I believe.

I stick with close to nothing but don't do strenuously exercise and even if I stay outside I get wet.

I walk around with my swamp cooler attached to my back. It detaches from my house and I get a real workout doing so... It's a win win

breathable shoes and those thin and incredibly overpriced moisture-wicking socks are key

Arctic Cool is the real deal. It works. If I could afford it, I would buy one for everyone in Las Vegas. After the shirts arrived I read the instructions and NO FABRIC SOFTENER. So I washed the shirts by hand and hung them outside to dry. It was about 110 when I went outside and I noticed as I was hanging them that they were almost cold to the touch.

That evening, we wore the shirts to Fremont Street. The thermometer on top of the Cal said it was 105. We walked around for 4 hours. We were not sweaty or red faced. We were not miserable at all. Normally we would not go to Fremont this time of year because of the heat. The shirts worked. We were much more comfortable and cooler.

Las Vegas is a huge market for this product. Think about all the security/law enforcement/people who work outdoors all year round. They all NEED these shirts!
