I will be in LV for one week and I want to rent a car. It doesn't have to be a big luxurious car but something that drives well. Where can I find a pretty good place to rent a not too expensive car? Thanks.

Alamo, or any of the other rental agencies at the airport. Hertz and AVIS seem to always be higher. Check expedia and orbitz, too. I saw a compact advertised on hotels.com last nite for $14.95 per day from LV.

Are you flying in? Airport is a good option. I personally use Enterprise. Good cars and a good price. I think it was like 15 a day. Also most hotels will arrange rentals too.

Oh dear. Just head to a rental website, find your best deal and stsrt typing in what your looking for. Before even committing, they will give you the exact taxes. I'm renting a convertible for $145 (base price) for the week...after taxes it will come to $210. A compact car can be had for $115 (base)...after taxes $169.

Good to hear you're making the fact finding trip from NY, Dave. If you could give me some insight on any observations and such when you get back via PM or on here, that would be appreciated! I'm going to try and get out there this spring or summer to drive around and see what's doing
