My husband and I are looking at a couple homes in Green Valley South. I know you guys talk a lot about how nice Green Valley Ranch is but I can't find anything on South. Can anyone give me some input? Thank you!

Slightly older but very nice section. Does not have the facilities of GVR and Seven Hills but still has a nice set. Significantly less expensive than GVR and surrounds. Schools still pretty good.

Much less traffic than Green Valley Ranch. The closer to 215 the better. Quality goes down the further north you go.

FYI, Legacy Golf Course sold and the new owners decided to close it. It will remain a golf course for 20 years.

The city will require the owners to water the property.

Yikes. I liked Legacy and played there a lot. We are looking at houses right in that general area. Sorry to hear that Legacy bit the dust.

There are still a lot of courses around, but not a whole lot of them are affordable to play on a daily basis. Vegas golf is expensive. You have to look for deals, like on Golf Now or Tee Off. That's the only way I can afford to play a couple of times a week.

I lived there for 13 years, very nice and affordable. Excellent commute to the strip and airport. Good schools, my son attended public schools in the area. Check Green Valley Parkway and Windmill corner, nice area and still relatively affordable. I loved walking and biking along the wash.

Thank you for the tips, I will check those out! What made you decide to move out of that area, if you don't mind me asking?

I had to move overseas in 2008 for a long term job assignment and decided to rent my house during that time, the idea was that we return back to same home. Now it took us 6 years to return back to the US and we decided to upgrade to a newer home in Anthem Area and our house was paid off and generating rental income which we liked.

Thank you for responding . We also looked at Anthem but it seemed like the traffic was kind of congested up there. Is that true? I do like that the lot sizes seem bigger in Anthem.
