Hey Las Vegans!

I've had a NV timeshare license before and also a Real Estate license in another state before. I will be working in timeshare in Las Vegas, but it is a possibility that I may sell real estate later. I will be studying for either test online. How much more time does the Real Estate course take to study? Is the test much harder for Real estate than Timeshare? If I go the Timeshare route can I upgrade to a Real estate license later? Or would I need to take the full Real estate course? Thank you for any suggestions!

One difference is 14 hours of pre-license study verses 90 for a Real Estate Salesperson license. Yes, the test will be longer and more comprehensive. Upgrading would be a matter of taking additional classes and the test. From Timeshare to Salesperson (or broker) status is almost but not quite like starting over. You may or may not have to get re finger-printed too. You can call the real estate division and ask.

I couldn't do time share. Sorry but I would feel like a scammer. With a RE license you can at least get a job where you can make money helping people.
