I have lived in Vegas for four years. I like the climate, and there are some beautiful spots to live in such as Summerlin near Red Rock, and or Lake Las Vegas, but be prepared to have a pretty penny for those areas. In my own personal experience, I have found Vegas to be pretty nasty, filled with uneducated people, predators, unscrupulous people who cannot wait to take advantage of someone who is, down. The people are narcissistic, selfish, shallow who lie, chat, rob, and steal. I have a couple of friends here and most of the friends I made here have left Vegas. Geese, I wonder why? It is a known fact that 60% of people who live here are on drugs, we have the gangs and the outlaws. Not to mention the drunk a55holes!

In my experience people seem to have no morals, no values, they care more about their Mercedes and their plastic looks rather then helping someone in need. The people discriminate, and the Gov. is pretty corupt. Finding a job? It was hard before the economy sunk now it will be pretty impossible.

I lived in the Philadelphia suburbs for 23 years before I moved here. I also moved here after visiting.

Hahahahah, you should have seen us trying to order a Philly Cheese Steak in this GOD FORSAKEN HELL HOLE!

What kind of idiots, do not know what that is?

I don’t regret moving because it was experience, but now I am ready to move out. We are packed in like sardines, and I don’t believe in the quality of life. It is not a place for raising children that is for sure! Every one here is too close for comfort, in the homes, the apartments? It is total GHETO! I need to have a home on an acre of land some where else. I am in search of a better place now. Since we have been here we have experience nothing but stress and heart ache. This is not the place for us. It would take me a year to write down all the ways we have suffered here. Can not wait to get out!

Yet another disillusioned soul that ended up in the ghetto part of Vegas. Tango, all of LV isn't like that. To think it is, is totally ridiculous. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Default What?

"Yet another disillusioned soul that ended up in the ghetto part of Vegas. Tango, all of LV isn't like that. To think it is, is totally ridiculous. Don't let the door hit you on the way out."

OMG!

Either you do not know how to read or you are not able to process the information you read properly!

I have STRESSED that my experience with Vegas has been bad for the past four years.

Actually it was bad from day one! Four years later still is bad!

I know Vegas pretty well and by zip codes no less!

I happen to live in a very upscale nationhood! In Vegas a upscale neighborhood is associated with lots of money, but what I have found is that people with money are not necessarily better then those without money! The drug addicts live in million dollar homes as well as 400,000 dollar homes.

My husband happens to know the City inside out. He knows many affluent people in this City due to the work he does. You do not know me, and you do not know any thing of my experience to say that I am a disillusioned poor soul! I think that the only person that is disillusioned is you. Maybe things are working out well for you here, and maybe this is the place for you. I simply stated that this place is not for me, and if I gave you all the reasons you would think I was making it up but honestly, it doesn’t matter!

Who are you to insult me about wanting out! I rather have the door hit me in the a55 then have my door hit me in the face one day!

I second Jasons Deli for Sweet Tea. And if you can find it somwhere, Tradwinds Sweet Tea is awesome.

FYI, i do know how to read. Some of your typo's really hurt my eyes. You have had a bad experience, so you feel you must come in here and rip the city apart. I just do not get how you could have such a lousy experience in ALL of the 4 years you lived here. Wasn't there anything good? If I hated a place that bad, I would have been gone long ago.
Maybe next time you will do more research in the place you choose to live. And hopefully you will do better in your next chosen place.

Of course affluent neighborhoods have drugs and alcohol. They can afford it. They also abuse prescription drugs.

You should try a less affluent neighborhood. Somewhere in the middle. There are some snooty people in those expensive places. Get a little more down-to-earth.

I don't know, I don't get out a whole lot and I am new here, but I have just not seen alot of the type of people you describe. Maybe it is good being disillusioned.
