I don't think this is humorous. It is rather making fun of religious people.

Who'd think bacon would be so controversial! It's like the perfect food, goes with everything. What's not to like about that?

This is just typical of bacon worshippers having doctrinal differences with the whole hog. For years, there were those who could follow a delicious shoulder roast, a honey ham, and bacon, but charismatic bacon lovers persuaded others that it is blasphemous to enjoy bacon in its many recipes while also gorging on a holiday spiral ham or smoking a Boston Butt roast into an amazing pork BBQ.

I find it deplorable. Hams and pork roasts are original members of the pig. To deny these delicious tenets is choosing eternal damnation in a slow, smoky torment at 250 degrees. Repent or be smoked!!

As it should. Religion needs mocked out of existence.

That said I don't like atheist churches. In 50 years morons will be making a legit religion out of it and it won't be ironic.

An assumption not based on facts. Though I'm not a person of religion, I see no reason to mock those who are. Religion gives people structure, hope, a sense of community and belonging. Religion can also provide good rules to live your life by. All I ask is that they respect my space and I will respect theirs. The intolerance of others beliefs only drives a wedge between neighbors
