It's all about supply and demand. I don't know if this guy wants to be by the Strip, but it sounds like he does. In Vegas, many Strip workers especially, demand to live within a block or two of the Strip, so they pay more rent in reality, for an older property. It's not about safe or not safe, old or new. Some simply look at the most feasible location, and find the best deal they can get....

Most of the properties by the Strip are old, and you can see rents are pretty high considering the age of the properties...... again, it's location ---- supply and demand dictates rents...

Some don't want to be by the Strip, so they go to the burbs of course....so every scenario is different depending on what each person is looking for.....
